This shows that I am doing very well post-surgery.  In at 10:00, out at 3:30 and negotiated stairs with crutches to get to my computer.   The numbness is supposed to wear off around 8, but I am very hopeful   Thanks for all your kind thoughts and prayers.

i woke up at 4 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep...not the insomnia feeling, just restless.  Got up and looked out the window.  Yup,  snow radar was right.  Guess I will not be shopping.  Would love to schlep around in the snow, but with a bum knee?  Nope.  Surgery is set for January 28th.  I would have loved to do it sooner, but I decided it would be good office politics to let my friend go to Hawaii, as planned, instead of working for me during my recovery.  Good Plan, yes?  So I will just baby it along until then.

Now I shall have some toast and see if I can go back to sleep.  Hibernation mode would be nice....

Praying for all of you that have to go out in this weather...

OK,  three broken things this week, so now it should stop:  My popcorn popper,  my drop spindle and my favorite disc for disc golf. guess it had to wear out sometime...it certainly has hit more than its share of trees.  We have been going twice a week for quite a few weeks now.  I love long summer evenings.

Sad to say good-by to Bane and Megan.  I will miss them, but am glad for their opportunity in Scotland.  Megan was the first person that I saw that I had nerve enough to ask if I could take her picture.  They both have been so gracious and kind to our whole household.

I got a baby fix at their party, holding Griffin.  What a sweetie.  And he let me try on the baby hats I  had nalbound.  The first fit him at one month and the second was much too small.  Maybe I should trace them before giving them away for ball-park sizing for a preemie and a one-month-old.  I was thinking about  a pom-pom for the top, but elfie_chan talked me into and made this tassle, which I think is too cute.

Minor muscle strain, overuse, and back trauma covered in this guideline.
Backaches in older children and adolescents are usually a symptom of a strain if some of the 200 muscles in the back that allow us to stand upright.  Often the triggering event is carrying something too heavy, lifting from an awkward position, bending too far backward

Yup at a lull at work right now.

pesto bread &chocolate chunk bread

It was a nice relaxed day.  Lazy morning talking with Al & Josh.  Chinese food at Ocean Sky.  Leisurely perusal of music at CD Worl, treasure hunting at the Goodwill across the street (fabric napkins still with store labels and some grey wool yarn for Egils "prizes.") Played a board game with Josh & Al and the some "Spite & Malice."

More fun with bread.  I made  yummy pesto loaves for Easter dinner and today was a try out of Father Dominic's Chocolate chunk bread.    I like making bread.
